Choose between three Orlando corridors

Public Storage at 1023 N Mills Avenue is just north of Colonial Drive, with Mills 50, Colonialtown and Lake Formosa among the areas discussed on its page. The second Public Storage address is 903 S Semoran Boulevard, whose page identifies Azalea Park among surrounding communities. U-Haul Moving & Storage at S Orange Avenue is at 3500 S Orange Avenue. These give you a central-north, an east-side and a south-side starting point, rather than three interchangeable results for an Orlando-area search.

Use the actual address to compare where your belongings start and where they will go next. A search page mentioning an airport, a theme-park district or a neighboring city does not create a local branch in that place. For a work collection, check the whole return journey; for a household move, coordinate the home loading appointment and the storage access deadline. Ask the branch which entrance movers should use before letting a promotional rate decide the location.

North Mills: an indoor climate-controlled starting point

The North Mills Avenue property advertises indoor climate-controlled storage. Its displayed products include inside rooms with roll-up doors. That is a useful product distinction when comparing it with the indoor and outdoor mix at South Semoran. Ask about the actual room floor, usable height and route from the unloading point; an indoor label by itself does not establish whether the room is on the ground floor or how a large item reaches it.

For an apartment move involving Colonialtown or Mills 50, measure bulky furniture and plan the handling route before selecting floor area. If the unit will be used for repeated small collections, keep frequently needed cartons near the door and leave a practical retrieval aisle. Ask about cart availability and whether loading can be arranged at the time you expect to arrive. A room that can contain the inventory when fully packed is not necessarily a convenient room to use several times a week.

South Semoran: separate indoor rooms, drive-up access and car storage

At 903 S Semoran Boulevard, the main feature list advertises indoor and outdoor storage and car storage. Displayed examples include ground-floor inside units, while the descriptive page also discusses drive-up access. Have the branch name the exact access type on your quotation. An indoor ground-floor room, an outdoor drive-up unit and a car-storage product do not offer the same handling route or environmental protection, even when a size label appears similar.

If you are considering this address for belongings from Azalea Park or the Semoran corridor, choose the product around the items rather than assuming that every room has climate control. For a car, give the operator the complete dimensions and ask about doorway clearance, parking configuration, required documents and permitted use. Do not assume that vehicle storage permits repairs or charging. For household goods, compare the door opening and carrying route with the North Mills indoor alternative before booking a moving vehicle.

South Orange: covered loading, but look beyond the word indoor

U-Haul at 3500 S Orange Avenue advertises indoor storage, climate control, covered loading and unloading, and free use of loading carts. Those handling features are worth investigating if you want to reduce the exposed carrying route between vehicle and room. Ask which part of the route is covered, what vehicle clearance applies and whether there are any loading time limits. Covered unloading does not establish a drive-in bay or a vehicle space beside the room itself.

The product list includes split-level storage and lockers, and explains that upper split-level spaces may require stairs. Specify whether you need a room accessible without lifting cartons upstairs, and obtain its actual height and level. The facility also lists portable storage and U-Box containers; those are separate products from an individually accessed room. Compare the process for retrieving a single item, the access conditions and any handling charges before substituting a container quotation for a self-storage quotation.

Resolve overnight access and the whole rental cost

North Mills and South Semoran display standard access from 6am to 10pm daily and advertise 24/7 access availability. U-Haul lists storage access from 5am to 10pm daily but also includes a 24-hour-access feature in its longer amenities list. For any visit outside the standard schedule, obtain specific authorization and the conditions for the room, gate and building doors. Do not rely on a general feature badge when arranging an early delivery or a late equipment return.

Compare quotes using the same inventory, move-in date, intended stay and environmental requirement. Public Storage discloses an administration charge, while U-Haul advertises no deposit or administration fee; add required protection, locks and any access upgrade before comparing totals. Ask when promotions end, how rate changes work and what notice is required to leave. Pack damp outdoor gear only after it has dried, regardless of the climate-control label. Confirm the signed rental and usable credential before sending a loaded van, and recheck holiday opening changes separately.
